Irene Chun

Irene Chun is a Masters student in the Department of Criminology, with a Bachelor’s Degree from Georgetown University and a MSc from the University of Oxford where she studied the criminalization, trust, and legal implications of private data use. She previously researched the influence of institutional mandates and practices (i.e. within business and education) upon the formation of identity factors of Korean nationals and immigrants as the Donald S. Macdonald Prize in Korean Studies awardee at Georgetown. Largely she is interested in the intersection of sociology and the law, regulation through extralegal vs. legal governance, trust, and social networks.
