Melody is a Masters of Criminology student who is interested in the benefits and costs of alternative policing strategies, improving police-community relations, and increasing access to crime data. She graduated from Bradley University in 2022 and interned with the Bradley University Police Department working on implementing a community outreach K-9 program. At the Crime and Justice Policy Lab, Melody works on Somerville’s project exploring the potential and barriers to police alternatives.
