Jhamiel Prince is a Senior Program Associate at the Crime and Justice Policy Lab, where she supports the implementation of Baltimore’s Group Violence Reduction Strategy. In this role, she works closely with the Baltimore Police Department, the Mayor’s Office of Neighborhood Safety and Engagement and community partners to strengthen coordinated efforts to reduce group-involved violence and improve public safety outcomes.
Before joining CJP, she worked at a Boston-based criminal justice nonprofit where she supported technical assistance initiatives funded by the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention under the Second Chance Act. In this role, she worked with youth probation agencies to implement evidence-based supervision practices to improve outcomes for young people assessed as moderate or high risk. She also contributed to youth violence prevention efforts across Massachusetts, including work with the City of Fall River through the Shannon Community Safety Initiative to address youth gang violence.
She holds a Master of Arts in Sociology Research and Practice from American University and a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University.
