Renée Contreras is a Program Manager at the Crime and Justice Policy Lab. In this role, she works with governments and non-profits to develop evidence-based policies and programs. Contreras manages CJP’s international portfolio as well as research and policy work in Massachusetts. Prior to joining CJP, Contreras worked for YouthBuild International in Mexico and has served as an education consultant for international and human rights organizations including UNICEF, Saferworld, and Impunity Watch. Contreras is fluent in Spanish and is a graduate of the Harvard Graduate School of Education. She also has a certificate in child protection from the Harvard François-Xavier Center for Health and Human Rights and a B.A. from Temple University, where she studied political science and international affairs.
