Shradha Sahani

Shradha Sahani is a Program Manager at the Crime and Justice Policy Lab at the University of
Pennsylvania. In this role, she contributes to the Philadelphia Community Violence Reduction
Initiative and supports the evaluation of The Last Mile project, advancing evidence-driven
approaches to public safety.

Before joining CJP, Shradha was a Senior Research Analyst at the Council of State Governments
Justice Center, where she led analysis for a nationwide evaluation on equity in victim
compensation. She also supported major national initiatives, including Reentry 2030 and
Advancing Data in Corrections. Her work focused on identifying system gaps, improving
policies and programs, and developing data strategies to support more effective and equitable
decision-making.

Shradha holds a BA, MA, and PhD in Criminology and Criminal Justice from the University of
Maryland. Her doctoral research examined how citywide sociodemographic changes shape crime
patterns across neighborhoods with differing racial and ethnic compositions in major U.S. cities.
